The Solutions’ Guide Book is an interactive document composed of two Deliverables: “The Policy recommendations in the Guide Book” and “The Decision making tools”.

The Policy recommendations in the Guide Book elaborate on 5 pillars or action fields: Investments, Rolling Stock, Governance,  Technology and Market Uptake. These action fields are developed in 17 buttons constituting the “Key Elements”. By using the “Touch Screen Technology”, each button opens up on a synthetic descriptive card containing information about Contents, Impacts/Market segments, Timing milestones, Type of actions/resources, Responsible agents, Actions correlations. Each card, through hyperlinks, gives access to a total of 55 “Elements”.

The Decision making tools or Decision support tool provides: Orientation, Planning, Decision support, Controlling for realizing the SPIDER PLUS Vision. This tool focuses on the temporal classification and dependencies between the various actions. In particular, it indicates which action can be done in parallel and those to be carried out in sequence. The path shows whether the fulfilment of all recommended actions is possible within the 2050 timeframe or not. Discrepancies between planned and actual can be identified and consequences of delays are made apparent.

The two Deliverables: The Policy recommendations in the Guide Book and The Decision making tools constituting the Solutions’ interactive Guide Book are complementary to each other, fulfilling the objectives of the 2050 Mobility Vision and Roadmap.
